CUE SPORTS SECTION BY-LAWS

1.0   The Section shall be appointed within and according to the Constitution of the International Stoke Mandeville Wheelchair Sports Federation.

1.1   The Section can be members of joint committees as long as equal representation is maintained on the joint committee.

2.0   Membership of Sport Section Executive Committee

2.1   The Sport Section Executive Committee shall consist of duly elected members from within the Sport Section nominated by official representatives of Member Nations according to the normal democratic procedures for election of office bearers.

2.2   The Executive Committee shall include Chairman, Secretary and others deemed necessary for the efficient functioning and management of the Section.

2.3   The Executive Committee Members shall be elected at the first Sport Section Meeting in the year following the Paralympic Games and shall serve for a period of four years.  Any vacancy shall be filled by election at the next meeting of the Sport Section.

2.4   The Section shall have a Medical Advisor jointly appointed by the Executive Committee and the ISMWSF Sport Science & Medical Committee.

3.0   Meetings

3.1   A General Meeting of the Cue Sports Section will be convened at least once a year during a sanctioned International Cue Sports Event.

3.2   All fully affiliated and paid-up ISMWSF Member Nations shall be notified at least two (2)months prior to an Annual General Meeting. Notification shall include; Time, Place, Agenda, Election forms (when required) and Mandate forms.

3.3   Each   Annual General Meeting shall commence with those Players and Delegates present at the time and place specified

3.4   Each ISMWSF member Nation will be allowed two delegates but only one vote.

3.5   Minutes of each Meeting will be recorded and a copy sent to the ISMWSF Secretariat.

4.0   Responsibilities

4.1   The Executive Committee will be responsible for formulation, revision, codification, publication, interpretation and enforcement of the Rules and Regulations of the disciplines within Cue Sports.

4.2   The Executive Committee will develop and administer certification procedure and standards for International Referees, Officials and Classifiers.

4.3    The Executive Committee has the authority of ISMWSF to determine the criteria and viability of a Cue Sports Event.

         i)  The World Stoke Mandeville Wheelchair Games.

         ii)  Any International Cue Sports event where ISMWSF sanction is sought by the Organising Committee of the Event.

4.3.1 The Executive Committee will consider for approval International competitions provided:-

         i)  the request is made by the ISMWSF Member Organisation through the ISMWSF Secretariat.

        ii)  the request is made 12 months preceding the event, except for the main International competitions for which at least ‘2 years’ notice

        iii)  is required.

4.3.2   The Executive Committee will review all approved events and make recommendations to the Executive Committee of ISMWSF. The Committee will also consider requests for other International Competitions to be placed on the Cue Sports Section Calendar for information purposes only.

4.4   Prepare a budget for administration expenses for submission to the Executive Committee of ISMWSF.

4.5   The Executive Committee has the authority to determine the criteria and viability of an event at : -

        i)  World and Regional Championships.

       ii)  The World Stoke Mandeville Wheelchair Games.

      iii)  All other International Cue Sports Events where ISMWSF sanction is sought by the Organising Committee of the event.

4.6   The Executive Committee should seek membership of and maintain links with the governing bodies of snooker, pool and carom.
