HUI-CHAN Lu   World Champion 9-Ball  1999 – Juniors Division !!! With a hurricane start in the Final of the Juniors WC moved  the from Taiwan HUI-Chan Lu into a conforteble lead, against his opponent John Vassalos from Greece. Vassalos came very late in his normale game, with a very concentrated art of play and won game by game back. He was very unlucky that by two breaks also the white ball disappeared, but HUI couldn’t take this chances with a lot of unconcentrated shots and let Vassalos coming up until 8:10. On this moment HUI wake up again and make a clearance up to the World Crown 1999 with 11:8. HUI-CHAN Lu  Weltmeister !!! Nach einem Blitzstart im Finale der Junioren lag der aus Taiwan stammende Hui-Chan Lu schnell hoch in Führung gegen sein Kontrahenten, John Vassalos aus Griechenland. Der kam erst spät ins Spiel, konnte aber durch ein gute Koncentrationsleistung Speil um Spiel verkürzen. Etwas  Pech hatte er, als ihm zweimal beim Break die Weisse fiel, doch der Chinese konnte die sich bietenden Chancen nicht nutzen. Recht leichtfertig verschoss er und liess den Griechen auf 8:10 herankommen. Dann sammelte er sich noch einmal und beendete das Match mit fehlerfreiem Spiel zum 11:8. Mit Vassalos und George Topalidis,der den dritten Rang belegte, stellen die Griechen die erfolgreichste Nation bei den Junioren. Die zweite Bronzemedaille  ging an Shane Mc Minn aus den USA.
