Las Vegas, NV  -  The $160,000 BCA Open 9-Ball Championships being held in Las Vegas, Nevada completed its fifth day of competition on Thursday. It was an intense day of play as the remaining 16 players in each division battled it out for the top prize and the coveted title.  At the end of the day, three players remained in the tournament.

Fans paying to watch the spectacular play were not disappointed.  Cory Deuel (photo #16) played six straight matches to be player entering the semi-finals as the winner of the one-loss side.  His level of play was untouchable for his opponents as he settled into a zone of his own polishing off Francisco Bustamante and Efren Reyes with finesse.  Jeanette Lee (photo#17) also battled through six matches on Thursday to earn her spot in the semifinal match.

Friday evening, the semi-final matches will feature Jeanette Lee vs. Allison Fisher and Cory Deuel against Kim Davenport.  The winner of the women's semi-final match will play Karen Corr in the finals on Saturday, and the men's semi-final winner will meet Jose Parica.   All semi-final and final matches will be taped by ESPN for future broadcast.
