- Matches begin Tuesday Evening at 6:30pm at both locations
- Non-smoking event
- Dress Code B - Dress slacks, dress shoes, collared shirt.
- Double-Elimination/ Races to 11, finals 1 race to 15
- WPA confederations can announce as many players as they choose - no quotas
   have been assigned for this event

- Tickets/Passes: Each registered player will be issued with an all events laminated pass for the duration of the full event. Ticket prices will range from $2 entry Tuesday & Wednesday, $5 entry Thursday, $10 per entry on Friday both locations, and $20 entry Saturday April 19th for both the finals and the Cliff Thorburn Exhibition show. Due to the huge demand for tickets and limited seating capacity, each player will be allowed to purchase one $25 CDN all-event general admission pass for spouse or significant other. All Event passes will be available to the general public at $35 CDN. Advanced purchase is recommended or you can purchase at the Player's Meeting. VIP Seating and Player Seating will be provided no charge at the Olympic Oval to players, producers, and qualifying sponsors. - HOTEL ACCOMODATIONS are at the Travelodge Hotel Calgary Macleod Trail. A block of 30 rooms is available through the hotel, with a special tournament rate of $65 (CDN) per night, double occupancy. - Entry Fee: In order to qualify for the 'Earlybird' Entry Fee of $200 CDN ($130USD) entry must be received by Great White Billiards no later than 6pm on March 31st, 2003. Regular entry fee of $250 CDN ($160USD) must be received no later than 12:00MST (Noon) on April 11th, 2003.

- EQUIPMENT: The Western Canadian Open 9-Ball Championships will be played on 6 Brunswick Gold Crown IV tables (located at the Olympic Oval, 6 Brunswick Medalist and 4 Canada Billiards Black Crowns (located at Great White Billiards), Championship Tour Edition 30/30 Cloth, Aramith Pro Balls, Master Chalk will be used.

- PRACTICE TABLES: Practice tables will be provided from Tuesday through Friday at Great White Billiards on a schedule that will be presented on site. 4 tables (2 CB Black Crowns and 2 American Heritage 9-ft. tables will be available throughout this time period.).
