STATUTE
for THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP of “PYRAMID”
under THE WORLD CONFEDERATION of BILLIARD SPORT,
THE WORLD ASSOCIATION of POOL and
INTERNATIONAL COMMITTEE of PYRAMID
- Purpose .
Ø
developing
and spreading billiard sport discipline
“Pyramid” all over the world;
Ø
showing
the best players of discipline “Pyramid”;
Ø
supporting
and increasing communications between all world federations . We do believe
that more communication and better relations will help to do a better job towards our ultimate goal
– the inclusion into the Olympic Games .

Venue and tournament schedule.
The World championship will take place in the city St.Petersburg from
May 3d to May 6th 2003.

3.Tournament

1.The main Organizes of the World Championship of “Pyramid”
are : International Committee of
Pyramid , Federation of billiard sport of Russia , Federation of billiard sport
of St.Petersburg.
2. The
tournament will be played under direct supervision of International Committee of
Pyramid and Federation of billiard
sport of St.Petersburg.

The
participant federation is
responsible for the payment for
the around trip to the place of
tournament, hotel payment and living allowance of every athlete.
6. Dresscode
The
following dress code will be valid for all athletes :white shirt , vest ,
bowtie , dark trousers , dark shoes. The national emblem is supposed to be on
the chest.
7. Rules and format
The tournament has two laps:
The tournament will be played among 64 athletes and
on the 16 billiard tables. In case if player don’t come , his sport will be
free on the table.
I lap : 05/03-04/2003 –64 athletes are
qualified by tournaments will be
divided into 8 groups , every group is
consisted of 8 players . All matches will be played until 4 winnings. The
system of matches is leaving after second defeat.
There are 4 athletes from every group ( in total 32
), who has the best results , will enter the second lap- final part.
Every athlete (in total 32) who won in the qualified
tournaments will get his own number in his group . This number will show his
place in the final table of the second lap.
II lap – 05/05-06/2003 - the final round will be played among 32
athletes- KO system until the first defeat. This matches will be played until 5
winnings.
Final round
will be played until 7 winnings. No matches will be played for 3d and 4th
places. Both players will become bronze medallists.
The 1st – 4th places will be seen on the
final table and other places will be
distributed according to the results of every athlete.
All questions about changes and additional
statements , which are not included to this statute will be discussed by the
Organizers with main panel of referees.
8. Prize fund , medals and trophies
The athlete who won the first place will be
announced the Champion of the
World Championship2003 and awarded with
“gold” medal , diploma and trophy.
The 2nd , 3d
, 4th places will be awarded
with medals and trophies worthy of the World Championship event.
A total prize fund
USA 20 000 will be distributed in form of prize money to the
participating athletes.
