Regulations


1. Participation eligibility
The maximum number of participating teams in the European Club Team Cup 2005 is 24.
Only teams that have participated in the National Team Championship 2003-2004 are allowed.
The host organizer and the defending champion have a priority right to take part.
Then, the national champions will be considered.
If then free spots available, the as no. 2 announced teams will be considered
(the date ofthe announcement is decisive)
Per team a maximum of 8 athletes may be announced. 50% of the announced athletes are not
required to be in possession of the citizenship that the member nation announcing the team represents.
Athletes that are nominated for two teams in one and the same championship are not allowed to participate.
 
2. System
Double Elimination, the last four teams - Single Elimination (16 Participating teams)
Double Elimination, the last eight teams - Single Eliminantion (24 Participating teams)
 
3. Match format
Match 1:  8-Ball  - 2 winning sets race to 4 (Set = Best of three)
Match 2:  9-Ball - 2 winning sets race to 5 (Set = Best of three)
Match 3:  8-Ball - 2 winning sets race to 4 (Set = Best of three)
Match 4:  9-Ball - 2 winning sets race to 5 (Set = Best of three)

Each team match consists of 4 individual matches that are to be played by 4 different athletes for each team.
It is possible for a team to participate with only three athletes and in such case the fourth match will be
forfeited. In case of a tie (2:2) then the sets average will decide. In case of a tie again, the individuel games
average will decide. In case of another tie, "Penalty shooting" will decide.
The tournament will be played alternate break.
 
4. Dress Code
All athletes must be dressed in accordance with the club uniform.

5. Team announcement
Only athletes which are registered in the EPBF Team Sheet and which can identify themselves with an
ID-card/Passport, have the right to play.

6. Prize money & trophies
Total prize money;  € 10.000,- and trophies for ranking 1 - 3

Prize money: 1st place -   € 3.800,-
                      2nd place -  € 2.200,-
                      3rd place -   € 1.000,-
                      5th place -   €    500,-
The winning team will be titled SIMONIS - EURO-CUP WINNER 2005

7. Entry fee
€ 250,-  per team, is to pay in cash at the accreditation

8. Draw
Three weeks before the tournament the draw will be made by the EPBF. The draw will be also published
on the EPBF website and after this draw the teams can make their hotel booking.
Each team need to be at the venue 90 minutes before the start of its first game to make its accreditation.

1. Teilnahmeberechtigung
Der European Club Team Cup 2005 wird mit maximal 24 Teams ausgetragen. Zugelassen werden nur
Teams, die an der Nationalen Team Meisterschaft 2003-2004 teilgenommen haben.
Der Organisator und der Titelverteidiger erhalten ein vorrangiges Startrecht.
Danach werden die nationalen Meister berücksichtigt.
Sind dann Plätze frei, werden die als Nr.2 gemeldeten Teams berücksichtigt ( Datum der Anmeldung ist
entscheidend)
Pro Team dürfen höchstens 8 Sportler gemeldet werden. 50% der gemeldeten Sportler müssen nicht die
Staatsbürgerschaft des Landes haben, dessen Mitgliedsverbandes die Mannschaft meldet.
Sportler, die gleichzeitig in zwei Mannschaften gemeldet sind, dürfen an dem Wettbewerb nicht teilnehmen.
 
2. Spielsystem
Doppel K.O.; die letzten vier Teams - Einfach K.O. (Bei 16 Teilnehmer)
Doppel K.O.; die letzten acht Teams - Einfach K.O. (Bei 24 Teilnehmer)
 
3. Matchmodus
Spiel 1:  8-Ball - 2 Gewinnsätze bis 4 (Satz = Best of three)
Spiel 2:  9 Ball - 2 Gewinnsätze bis 5 (Satz = Best of three)
Spiel 3:  8 Ball - 2 Gewinnsätze bis 4 (Satz = Best of three)
Spiel 4:  9 Ball - 2 Gewinnsätze bis 5 (Satz = Best of three)

Eine Mannschaftsbegegnung wird mit vier verschiedenen Sportlern durchgeführt. Zwei dieser Sportler
müssen nicht die Staatsbürgerschaft des Landes haben, dessen Mitgliedsverbandes die Mannschaft meldet.
Ein Antreten mit drei Sportlern ist zulässig, in diesem Fall wird das Spiel 4 für diese Mannschaft als verloren
gewertet. Bei Punktegleichstand ( 2 : 2 ) erfolgt eine Wertung gemäß Satzverhältnis. Danach werden die
Einzelpartien (Quotient) gewertet. Danach wird die Entscheidung durch "Penalties"herbei geführt.
Es wird der "Wechselbreak"gespielt.
 
4. Spielkleidung
Es muss die einheitliche Spielkleidung des Vereins getragen werden.
 
5. Mannschaftsaufstellung
Es dürfen nur Sportler eingesetzt werden, die in dem von der EPBF ausgestellten Mannschaftspass
eingetragen sind und sich durch Id-Card / Peronalausweis legitimieren können.
 
6. Preise
Gesamtpreisgeld: € 6.000,-   Pokale für die Plazierten 1 - 3
 
Preisgeld: Platz 1 -   € 3.800,-
                  Platz 2 -   € 2.200,-
                  Platz 3 -   € 1.000,-
                  Platz 5 -   €    500,-
Titel des Siegers: Simonis - Euro Cup Winner 2005
 
7. Startgeld
€ 250,- je Team und muß bei der Akkreditierung in bar bezahlt werden.
 
8. Auslosung
Drei Wochen vor dem Turnier wird die Auslosung durch die EPBF durchgeführt. Die Auslosung wird auch
auf der EPBF Webseite veröffentlicht und nach dieser Auslosung können die Teams ihre Hotelbuchungen
vornehmen.
Jedes Team muß sich dann 90 Minuten vor Beginn ihres ersten Spieles im Spielort für die Akkreditierung
melden.
