1. Participation eligibility
The maximum number of participating teams in the Simonis European Challenge Cup
is 24.
Only teams which have participated in the National Team Championship
2005-2006 are allowed.
The host organizer and the defending champion (if a member of the EPBF member)
have a priority right to take part.
Then, the national champions will be considered.
If then free spots available, the as no. 2 announced teams will be considered (the date of the announcement is decisive)
Per team a maximum of 8 athletes may be announced. 50% of the announced
athletes are not required to be in
possession
of the citizenship that the member
nation announcing the team represents.
Athletes that are nominated for two teams in one and the same championship are
not allowed to participate.

Double Elimination, the last eight teams – Single Eliminantion (24 Participating teams)

Each team match consists of 4 individual matches that are to be played by 4 different athletes for each team.
It is possible for a team to participate with only three athletes and in such case the fourth match will be forfeited.
In case of a tie (2:2) then the sets average will decide.
In case of a tie again, the individuel games average will decide.
In case of another tie, “Penalty shooting” will decide.
The tournament will be played alternate break.
4. Dress Code
All athletes must be dressed in accordance with the club uniform.
5. Team announcement
Only athletes which are registered in the EPBF Team Sheet and which can identify themselves with an ID-card / Passport,
have the right to play.
6. Prize money & trophies
Total prize money: 12.500,00 € and trophies for ranking 1 - 3
Prize money: 1st place € 4.400.00
2nd place € 2.700.00
3rd place € 1.300.00
5th place € 700.00
The winning team will be titled SIMONIS EURO-CUP WINNER 2006
7. Entry Fee
€ 250.00 per team, is to pay in cash at the accreditation
8. Draw
Four weeks before the tournament the draw will be made by the EPBF. The draw will be also published on the
EPBF website
and after this draw the teams can make their hotel booking.

Each team need to be at the venue 90 minutes before the start of its first game to make its accreditation.
