The European Billiard Federation invites your federation to send athletes to the 1st European Billiard Championships for athletes with a disability (no wheelchair athletes in 2025). The competition will take place in Starachowice, Poland, at the Europa Hotel and will be organized jointly with the Polish Billiard Association. We will have eight tables and will be playing two tournaments: 9-ball and 10-ball. All matches from all tables will be broadcast live, completely free of charge. Participants will be accommodated at the Europa Hotel, where the tournament will take place.
🔴 𝐏𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞: We kindly ask that all players interested in participating contact their national federations directly. It is the federations who are responsible for athlete registration‼‼‼
This is the first championship of this kind organized by the EPBF. We know the challenge ahead of us, but we hope to have athletes from many countries to participate. We want to start somewhere, so we are not dividing players into any disability groups. However, please remember that this is our first time organizing this tournament, and our goal, in line with many requests, is to open up to a wider group of people with disabilities who play billiards. We therefore count on your understanding and help in promoting the event and even better preparing and promoting the championship in future years. One of our goals is also to promote the sport of billiards among people with disabilities. That's why, both during this competition and next year's, which will include wheelchair users, we're putting a lot of effort and work into promoting it through broadcasts of all the events and media coverage.
