It is with great sadness that I must inform you that on 15 November 2025, the EPBF Honorary President, Horst Vondenhoff, passed away at the age of 82.

Horst Vondenhoff was the (co-)founder of the EPBF and served as its chairman for 17 years (1985 - 2002). Horst Vondenhoff also co-founded the WPA and was its first chairman.

It is no exaggeration to say that Horst Vondenhoff, as founder of the EPBF and also the WPA, laid the foundations for our sport and contributed greatly to making it to what these organisations are today.

The international “pool billiards family” has lost an important icon of our sport.

Horst's family asks for consideration and also requests that condolences be refrained from.
