EC WOMEN HEYBALL TEAM DRAW DONE. ROUND ROBIN WITH 3 TEAMS.

During the EC Heyball in Poland the EPBF will host for the first time in History also the EC Heyball for National Teams.

When the wish lists were sent out, the nations were reminded that this event is being organised for the first time. The reason behind this initiative was the fact that the WPA organised the official Heyball World Cup for national teams this year, also for the first time.

In order to ensure a fairer selection of national teams for this Heyball World Championship for national teams, the EPBF Board decided to organise a European Heyball Championship for national teams.

In the men’s category, 10 nations have entered this Heyball discipline.

The saying ‘Every beginning is difficult’ is certainly true of the European Heyball Championship for national teams in the women’s category. Given that only three countries have entered – there were five at the start – the EPBF Board has nevertheless decided to go ahead with this competition.

A round-robin system involving three teams has been adopted, with Team Romania taking on Team Poland in the opening match. The third team (namely Team Ukraine) will play its first match later against the loser of that match.

As the EPBF tournament system does not (yet) provide for a round-robin format, the results will only be announced afterwards and published via the ‘News’ section on this EPBF website.
