VOGEL & JIANG TENG CLAIM FIRST EURO TOUR TITLES

1st November 2026

FELIX VOGEL WON his maiden Predator Euro Tour title as he swept countryman Luca Menn aside 11-4 to lift the Revora Spanish Open trophy in Gandia, Spain. The women’s tournament was won by Jiang Teng of China as she defeated Ina Kaplan 9-8 in a thrilling match. It was her first visit to a Euro Tour event and she will be delighted with her efforts.

12 months ago, Felix Vogel lifted the WPA World Junior Championship in this same venue and it proved to be a happy hunting ground for the young German star. He’d reached two Euro Tour finals in his fledgling career - both in 2024 - and came up short but this was his week as the 18-year-old came through a series of tough opponents to claim victory.

His quarter-final match against Mieszko Fortunski saw him recover from 10-5 down to win 11-10 and from there he never looked back. The opening stages of the final were close but Vogel ran away with the second half of the match, turning 5-3 into 9-3 and leaving Menn with scant hope of recovery.

Vogel has had a big year, winning his first major international title in June in Austria, the Billard Beckmann Men’s Open on the Predator Pro Billiard Series, and now his maiden Euro Tour title.

He said, “It feels really good to have finally made it, to win the final because I lost two times before and it feels good! I really like it here; there are nice people here and the beach is beautiful and you can have a nice time here. I can’t complain about the year I’ve had and I always want to play my best game and then I’m happy. I play in San Antonio in a few weeks and that’s the last event of the year.”

Beaten semi-finalists in the men’s division were Mika Ven Berkel (NED) and Iker Andoni Echeverria (ESP).

The Revora Spanish Women’s Open was claimed by China’s Jiang Teng, who was making her first appearance on the Euro Tour. A quarter-finalist in this year’s China Open, Jiang was something of an unknown quantity entering the event.

She needed to come through the one-loss side, having lost to Marion Jude in the Winner’s Qualification round. Hill-hill wins, though, against Sandra Baumgartner and Ana Gradisnik saw her through to the semi-final where she defeated Mayte Ropero 9-7.

The final itself went down to the wire. It was close throughout but when Kaplan lead 8-6 it was hers to lose but a fatal miss on the 7-ball by Ina saw the scores levelled and a ball-in-hand opportunity for the Chinese in the decider sealed her fate as she ran out for the win.

She said, “I’m happy to win the final and it’s an honour to be here because there are so many great players and professional referees and the great table and a great audience so I’d like to thank everyone. This is my first big pool championship so I’m very happy!”

Filling out the final four spots were semi-finalists Mayte Ropero (ESP) and Oliwia Zalewska (POL).

The Predator Euro Tour returns with a full schedule in 2027, and gets underway with the Predator Treviso Open in Italy which runs from 28th to 31st January.
